This year, we are especially excited to celebrate the release of SPCA of Brevard’s annual book, Pets and Their People: Space Coast 2025, a beautiful collection of stories that highlight the extraordinary bond between pets and the people who love them. We are proud to share that Staci was featured on the front cover and throughout the book, telling a deeply personal story that reflects exactly why this cause means so much to us.
A Story of Love, Loss, and Unbreakable Bonds
Years ago, Staci met a tricolor Mini Australian Shepherd named Hannah—polite, playful, and full of personality. That moment planted a seed. When the time came to add a dog to her family, she knew it would be one just like her.
In 2019, that dream became reality with the arrival of Mini Aussie sisters Bella and Baby Girl, surprising her children and instantly capturing their hearts. Through laughter, furry antics, and unconditional love, these dogs became part of the family’s foundation. When Baby Girl was unexpectedly lost, the heartbreak was profound—but the bond only grew stronger.
By what Staci lovingly describes as God’s grace, Bella later welcomed five puppies into the world in 2022. What began as a plan to keep just one quickly turned into four staying within the immediate family. Each pup developed their own personality—Super Duke, agile and fun like his dad, and Soph, a sweet, teddy-bear lookalike of her mom. Together, they became not just pets, but emotional confidants, sources of comfort, and daily joy.
This story is a beautiful reminder of what pets truly are: loyal companions who walk beside us through life’s challenges, lifting our spirits and filling our hearts.
Inspired by the Joy Pets Bring
Laughter, love, and connection shared with Bella and her pups mirrors the same joy found every day at the SPCA of Brevard adoption center. The dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes offer that same unconditional love—and that inspiration is what led to the creation of SPCA pet jewelry.
As part of our charity-driven Sparkle for GOoD legacy, we launched affordable pet-themed jewelry during the 2024 SPCA fundraisers, Wine n’ Whiskers and Men on Fire. Each piece is designed to celebrate the special bond between pets and their people—while giving back to animals in need.
