Written by Lee Nessel, the piece dives into Staci’s personal and professional journey: her roots as a third-generation jeweler, her commitment to the local community, and the resilience that has shaped both her life and her work.
More Than Jewelry
While many know Sullivan’s Jewelers for custom designs and heirloom-quality pieces, the article reveals a deeper layer: how Staci has turned her personal pain into purpose.
After leaving a long and difficult relationship, Staci found herself rebuilding from the ground up — both in life and in business. Her path has included heartache, especially around her relationship with her children, but also healing. Today, she channels her energy into meaningful connections — whether she’s designing a sentimental piece for a client or donating jewelry to help local nonprofits raise funds.
“I’ve always wanted my store to be more of a mission field than a jewelry store,” Staci says in the article — and that really sums it up.
Giving Back with Every Piece
Staci supports over a dozen local organizations, from Serene Harbor and the SPCA to women’s and family-focused causes. She’s not just a business owner — she’s also a certified domestic violence advocate and a regular volunteer, helping with everything from support groups to 24-hour hotlines.
She’s designed special pieces that give back, like her “self-love” ring for Serene Harbor and pet-themed jewelry that supports the SPCA. Each piece tells a story — not just for the person who wears it, but for the community it helps support.
Family Legacy, Fresh Perspective
Sullivan’s Jewelers has been part of the Melbourne community for three generations, and that family thread runs strong. Staci works alongside her mother, Isabel, a GIA graduate gemologist who’s been in the business since she was a teen. Together, they carry on the tradition started in 1948 by Joe and Violet Sullivan, adapting it to meet today’s clients with compassion, creativity, and care.
The store’s cozy Downtown Melbourne studio offers much more than what’s in the case. Whether you’re designing something from scratch, revamping a family heirloom, or stopping in to find a meaningful gift, the experience is personal, heartfelt, and entirely unique.

Staci’s journey is about more than jewelry. It’s about growth, second chances, and finding joy in helping others shine — even when you’re still healing yourself.
